THE GIFT OF GIVING

A MEETING OF MINDS INSPIRED BY THE GIFT OF GIVING
AT LALELA ART PROJECT

“A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.”

Steve Maraboli

Nowhere do these words ring truer than when echoing the sentiments of artist SaySay.Love, who believes that compassion has the power to bring hope and healing.  SaySay.Love, together with Lalela Art Project based in Hout Bay, Cape Town recently led the pack in spreading the spirit of Christmas by hosting a fun-filled day aimed at ensuring that the children of Lalela truly get to experience the warmth and joy that represents this special time of the year.
The highlight of the day came when the philanthropic artist handed over one of his incredible artwork pieces, ‘Exotic’ from ‘The Gift of Water’ exhibition,’ to South African Olympic Gold Medalist and swimming icon, Ryk Neethling who expressed his very strong connection to water, as a token of his appreciating of the athlete’s contribution to the water sports which uses a natural resource, which SaySay.Love holds to the greatest value.
‘”As we approach the festive season we are all presented with an opportunity to express great warmth, kindness and generosity to not only our loved ones, but those less fortunate than ourselves, and that this gesture is not only limited to those who pursue careers in caregiving, but in humanity as a whole. As a retired businessman I truly believe that doing good is, in fact, good business, and I am deeply inspired by the gift of compassion.”
